What is MarriedPeople?
We started MarriedPeople in the hopes of doing one thing well: Help churches help marriages. But here is what we have found to be true: couples in the church are often the ones who are caring for couples in the church.
SO — this site was designed in the hopes of getting you excited about your own marriage, which in turn makes you want to go to the powers that be at your church to have the following conversation:
You: “Hey, we want to help you help marriages.”
Pastor: “Absolutely! I would love your help. But how do we get started?”
You: “That’s easy, go to MarriedPeople.org.”
He/she goes to MarriedPeople.org and doesn’t find just a bunch of resources, but a strategy with resources to make that strategy happen.
If this sounds manipulative, it’s because it is. But at the end of the day, you win and your pastor becomes a hero!
From 2001–2010, Ted Lowe worked as the Director of MarriedLife at North Point Community Church. His wife, Nancie, played a huge role in hosting and planning MarriedLife programs at North Point. It was during their time at North Point that they decided they not only wanted to help the married people at North Point, but married people at churches all over the world. So in partnership with Orange and church leaders everywhere they are working fast and furiously to…HELP CHURCHES HELP MARRIAGES.
